I think it's good if we have a list of filehosts that have recently been shut down or have changed their policy, due to MU takedown

- MegaUpload.com (Down) (TakeDown)

- EnterUpload.com (Down) (Redirect)

- FileServe.com (As good as dead) (Closed affiliate program; You can no longer download files unless you own them)

- FileSonic.com (As good as dead) (Closed affiliate program; You can no longer download files unless you own them)

- FileJungle.com (As good as dead) (Closed affiliate program; You can no longer download files unless you own them)

- UploadStation.com (As good as dead) (Closed affiliate program; You can no longer download files unless you own them)

- Uploaded.to (Blocked U.S. Visitors)

- VideoZer.com (Closed affiliate program)

- VideoBB.com (Closed affiliate program)

- x7.to

- Easy-Share.com/Crocko.com (Closed affiliate program)

- FilePost.com (Closed affiliate program; Suspending accounts with infringing material)

- GlumboUploads.com (Closed affiliate program)

- GrooveFile.com (Dead)

- MegaShare.com (Closed affiliate program)

- UploadBox.com (Closing. All files will be deleted on January 30th.)

So Many of my Movies are partly downloaded from fileserve and filesonic
<

I doubt how long mediafire willl be open coz its founded in US

Have Filesonic Account, wanted to take life membership but changed my mind at the last minute & took a yearly membership in November end last year, now that its Down, I have started a paypal dispute to get the refund, waiting ..............

Iran should step up now to the US by inviting file sharing hosts to put up their servers in their country.

They might end up with better revenue now as compared to exporting oil

FS/FSc/Upl.to are down too !!!

damn I didn't checked that - (

After RS changed their policy in 2010, (and my RS prem expired later) I kinda moved out of file hosts and started using torrents.

Hope piratebay doesn't go down soon.

I am sure something or the other new will come up sometime, we just don't know when. Hope for the best.

Another thing i am worried is that the websites which won't be affected or which cannot be touched by the US will know that people need them and may start exploiting by charging more for memberships or something like that.

^ yeah true. Less competition and more revenue.

But what really worries me is that after Oct 11 everything which a downloader wants are lost...first HDD prices and now this. Is this all or more to come.

As of now RS is ok but remember when they deleted all files and jacked up their rules. It can happen again.

Well, there goes my 6 months of Fileserve account down the drain. Have to look at some alternatives now, apart from the usual Torrents. It's been ages since I touched a Torrent file.
