Have tried Jinni and i say it gives really good results. Have not tried the others yet.

Have tried Tastekid. Not many recommendations but gives you results in all kinds of medium - i.e. - books, music, movies, tv.

IMDB gives just 5 of them in the bottom lowest part of the page, and some are a hit and miss. But its ok none the less.

Any other web based services you guys use, please add them here.

Though not a recommendation site per se, I am using iCheckmovies for some time now. It compiles movies from all Top lists and lets you keep track of movies you have seen - for e.g., in IMDB Top 250 (I still have 75 more to go ).

Thanx 6pack. Jinni is serioulsy good. Have watched a lot out of the list, but there are still some not watched.

@trigger, check #7. IMDB's there. I too like IMDB's top list but browsing through the genres is a chore.
