I received a whatsapp message on my number mentioning that i have requested for a loan of 5Lakh which is registered successfully. is this true?
I never applied for a loan or never will. Why Mymoneymontra is sending this type of scam and illegal messages without permission?

is it allowed? what it actually means?

the link Click here points to apply now loan page so a referral is there.

How to check if there is loan given on my name? this type of fake messages are basically a threat to life.

Not only the above company in question, there are tons of others who send you these spammy messages of loan approval. I can immediately recall a company called Finance Buddha who indulges in this kind of shady marketing. Big names such as Bajaj are also into this kind of shitty marketing. The latest and the shittiest I have seen is a SMS where they declare that X amount of money has been deposited in your account in big bold letters. Finally, at the the bottom of the message they will say, " This money can be yours". I wonder what the courts will have to say if some lawyer PILs them. Or perhaps this will be legally considered a non-issue. There are tons of such non-issues that bother me actually. For e.g. Cooling charge applied on water bottles and cold drinks, or promising X internet speeds and delivering something totally less. Anyway, mera bharat mahaan, sau mai se 99 beimaan.

Due to lack of effective consumer protection and privacy policy/ implementation of existing policies, one can try to do something about it, but that will lead to more headache with nil outcome.
Hence, for peace of mind - "Ctrl + Alt + DEL = Peace" is better option.
i have sent them the mail to stop their shit.

You being an educated and concerned citizen have done that. Imagine this message reaches lakhs of people across cities, towns and villages of India every day and how many of them will actually believe this and take the next steps in the process and eventually end up getting scammed.

i know but this is wrong. they can mention it as offer but the wording of it clearly mention that it is given.
This in order to seduce people we have provided the loan. But actually they didn't. Later when they click it will show as 2%monthly which turn out to be more than 20% yearly interest rate

cibil is shit too. few are not even updated when given on criff and experian. need to pay to check latest score for nothing.
why are you using criff or experian? (besides I really doubt that they are not updated), simply check the official Cibil score, you can do it via gpay for free. or get a yearly subscription for them.

same messages sent from snapmint or any such credit card free EMI apps, its not a scam its a really bad deal that they try push onto desperate customers who are facing a cash crunch or are just dumb and greedy...

CIBIL, every credit/loan gets attached to your cibil report, as long as its not there, its all bullshit
Yes my 2 year old SBI credit card joining dues and subsequent closure of the credit card is still showing as 3 dues in my Cibil score report. My score decreased from 770s to 737 now. I paid all other emis like from Amazon, Flipkart, paytm and money view without defaulting.

then that's your bank fault, cibil or any other credit bureau reports what the banks tell it, escalate this matter with sbi and if it's not resolved, file a complaint against them with RBI Ombudsman.

The point of checking your credit report is that all banks/lenders report your loan/credit to it and if a loan is not there then you can be sure it's a scam. it's basically one stop solution of keeping track of your loans etc

P.S. forgot to quote your post @bssunilreddy

Apart from these WhatsApp messages and sms they have now moved to call based voice recordings with pauses to make it more convincing - such predatory approaches do need a look up from our authorities . These scammer do so because you still have people who fall for these or at the very least convert one Into taking a loan
