You are forgetting this is Amazon tablet. They make cheap devices and expect to recoup money from services.
The usual price of this tablet is $149. So $80 is excellent deal.

I use old 2017 version of Fire hd 10 and love it (except my son broke it screen last week, but still all works). It is great tablet for media consumption.
 
Not sure. I bought other things apart from the tablet and got a combined quote. Probably best to check with Rahul in terms of the additional cost only for the tablet.
