I don't think the existing PS2 controller has a fan. I opened it once and it had two moters for the rumble feature but no fans.

I suppose it's usefull. If you have sweaty palms that is.

Also, Stormblast is correct. I remember seeing these for the PS2 and XBOX a few years back. Can't believe they've already made one for the PS3.
