With all due respect sometimes over smartness can lead to extreme stupidity and this is the case here it was already mentioned in the thread it was a RMA keyboard received brand new from Logitech service center and the price you are seeing on the receipt is manufacturer unit price this is not what i paid to purchase the keyboard it was bought for 3499

This is true. I don't know about other distris but RPTech (back then when I RMA'd my mouse) didn't write the purchase price on the RMA slip. They give only the "current value"/distri value. I was also very shocked at first because it was my first time RMA'ing something and the value was barely half of what I originally paid.

Yes the original value is always 50% but someone else has to make their bread and butter including govt (tax) so it sums up.
