Just got the Logitech X-230 2.1 Speakers, and I'm having issues with one of the speakers. In any games, applications, or music players, I get sound coming out of only the right speaker and subwoofer, but not the left speaker.

When using a volume control app., I allign the speakers to have all sound come out of the left side, and it all comes out the subwoofer. Allign to the right, and everything comes from the right speaker.

I have an MSI K7N2G motherboard, (approaching old, Socket A type). I've updated to the latest audio drivers, and I've tried several configurations for speaker types in windows. I've also gone through the BIOS with no luck.

I'm at the end of my string. I'm about to just upgrade my motherboard. Any suggestions before I do so?

Please advise... thanks!

How many input cables on the X230?

Is it just a stereo input that gets split to a 2.1 or is there a separate cable for the sub?

if u dont have another pc plug it into a tape or mp3 player etc and test it....

also check whether u have inserted the connector completly in the sound card as if it is inserted halfway u wud get this problem

yes check if its half way inserted or not...and check if ur sattelite needs to be plugged to the woofer check whether its plugged in properly there coz i had a problem once like this and on reconnecting it became ok :) .. so check ur connections first if that fails check with ur TV or Tape player...
