Why do I see some sort of adhesive on one of the speakers ( surrounding the cone) ...have they been repaired or fixed?

yes thy have been fixed as they were making little bit of hiss sound. u can demo them before buying ,they r not in worst condition,i used the speakers before upgrading to studio monitors
