Althought this match was nowhere near the greatest match..Infact it can be called stupidiest match... I mean none of them can break each other even once in 7 hrs...Its like they only concentrated on their own service all this while.. Only 5 breakpoint opportunities (3 + 2) in 7hrs and 118 games...

^ They played almost 7 hours today. It's a miracle they can even stand on their feet!

While we are at it, here's another insane fact I found on Wikipedia:

Longest women's match: In 1984, Vicki Nelson-Dunbar took 6 hours, 31 minutes to defeat Jean Hepner 6–4, 7–6(11). The match featured a 29-minute, 643-shot rally, the longest in professional tennis history.

OMFG WTF?!!! :O :O

30 min rally?! Now that is really insane! If these 2 guys get any inspiration from this, then I suppose the Wimbledon 2010 champion will be the 2011 champion as well. :P

^ Yes that's true. Try playing/exercising for hours, you won't feel the need to go take a piss.
playing/exercising for 9-10 hours at a stretch? you want me to fall dead or what :O

:hap2:, btw were there any spectators on the 3rd day, though its an amazing achievement in itself, but I bet the quality of tennis would have to be very poor.....

BBC stopped broadcasting Federrer's game from centre court to show this.. John McEnroe and a few hundred others (The max that the court could fit) along with a whole bunch of reporters were there.

Surprisingly, the Tennis was of VERY VERY high standards.. it was simply 2 guys refusing to give up :) great game..

Lol no not that long! I mean like 3-4 hours.
but then, they weren't playing for 3-4 hours.. were they? :P

^ Yes, but the longest they played at a stretch was around 7 hours. And I think it you was you only who mentioned they took only 1 toilet break. So there you go. :P

I personally have experienced the same. Forget 3-4 hours. When I was on a trek somewhere in the north where it was quite cold, everyone use to start trekking in the morning and continue till evening. I don't think we faced any bathroom problems. :P

Tennis quality wasn't that great.. It was historic and theres nothing else to it..

Its like two guys just holding their serve (mostly by aces and after a while efforts of non-server were hardly 50%) and returning poorly, infact Isner admitted that after 20 each..It was just go out hold your serve and come back...no score line..no pushin the opponent on 2nd serve... No pressure on server..

I mean there were hardly 4-5 'break' opportunities in 138 games... What does that tell ?
