:bleh:
I don't usually do show-offs, so I hope this one lives up to it. This is special because I bought all of this from my own salary and my biggest purchase yet on my own. Here's to hoping I make more bigger ones
I am not one for yappin', so here are a few words followed by a few thousands:
Here be the conquered, the slain and the... soon-to-be-sold on the TE Market?
Core2Duo E6600
Asus P5N32-E SLI
Corsair DDR2 2x2GB 800Mhz @1.8V
OCZ Nvidia 8800GTX
The successors:
(No words for these..!)
The CPU's IHS shot. Can't see much there (oh, how my mobile's camera suck!) but the batch number is 3839A568, for those who are into such things (I myself am not, really) :
The Motherboard. This one may not be the popular choice, but I bought it mainly for its lower power consumption figures, of all things... I hope I don't regret making my decision on this. Then again, this board can overclock well and does compares well with any other x58 motherboard out there:
A plastic clam-shell for a motherboard? Who the hell's heard of such things....
The "front-page", as it were, of the motherboard box:
Not much of a page-turner, really.
The RAM. My first G.Skill sticks. It's the only part I regretted buying, money-wise only mind-you, because there was another memory that was almost $99 cheaper with the same specifications -only with no fancy heat spreaders. Unfortunately, I didn't catch sight of it before it was too late. A costly lesson learnt, I guess.
Any way, catch these:
And, finally, the piece de resistance. :
...a nice shiny box. And opening it we see...
Oh the E, the E! (sorry, I just had to say that)
Looking like a black foam-coffin:
A black foam coffin that coddles the bleeding-edge "vamp" that is the EVGA GTX295:
The included accessories. Ugly looking woolen blanket not included...
A final shot of the "phoren" couple from PudhuMuttai/NewEgg
Last, but not the least, a thousand words on the guy who helped me immigrate the couple above
