Had ordered the speaker set (Gigaworks T3) on Sunday evening and recd the set thursday morning.
Sorry for the late reply guys but the net is down since the past 4 days.
Will post pics and more detailed stuff asap but for the time being..
If this set is rated as 5/5, MX 5021 had to be 8/5 by all means.
Mids sound bit more clearer than the MX 5021 but not as punchy. Songs esp with Guitar strumming sounded better and i agreed with the 'clarity dripping' line mentioned on the box (for all you know, the box carried rating and verdict line from the techradar site !)
Talking about the punch, i really was amazed that creative went to the extent of putting 3 drivers into the woofer, but couldnt take a leaf out of Altec's book and didnt bothered to get an effective unit. The woofer does the job but really is not in the league of the AL's woofer. Beyond 2/3 volume level, it tends to get boomier instead of the punchier response i so eagerly wanted to see.
5021 debuted @12k and this set is retailing for 16k currently, but even after this premium price tag, the obvious lack of a remote controller stuck out as the sore thumb.
The wired control pod only allows you to fiddle with the vol level and not the treble/bass. Surely the Engg @ Creative could have mustered this lil gimmick?
The pod does provides the aux input and the earphone o/p jack in its defence.
Built quality is pretty good. No complains on that front.
Slowly getting used to this new set and hopefully would be able to post a decent verdict after whatever burn in and impartial pt of view i can achieve in a while.
