Had ordered the speaker set (Gigaworks T3) on Sunday evening and recd the set thursday morning.
Sorry for the late reply guys but the net is down since the past 4 days.
Will post pics and more detailed stuff asap but for the time being..

If this set is rated as 5/5, MX 5021 had to be 8/5 by all means.

Mids sound bit more clearer than the MX 5021 but not as punchy. Songs esp with Guitar strumming sounded better and i agreed with the 'clarity dripping' line mentioned on the box (for all you know, the box carried rating and verdict line from the techradar site !)
Talking about the punch, i really was amazed that creative went to the extent of putting 3 drivers into the woofer, but couldnt take a leaf out of Altec's book and didnt bothered to get an effective unit. The woofer does the job but really is not in the league of the AL's woofer. Beyond 2/3 volume level, it tends to get boomier instead of the punchier response i so eagerly wanted to see.

5021 debuted @12k and this set is retailing for 16k currently, but even after this premium price tag, the obvious lack of a remote controller stuck out as the sore thumb.
The wired control pod only allows you to fiddle with the vol level and not the treble/bass. Surely the Engg @ Creative could have mustered this lil gimmick?
The pod does provides the aux input and the earphone o/p jack in its defence.

Built quality is pretty good. No complains on that front.
Slowly getting used to this new set and hopefully would be able to post a decent verdict after whatever burn in and impartial pt of view i can achieve in a while.

ok So MX5021 is overall better than T3 but it is so sad that legendary MX5021 is no more available in the market now. I take care of my MX5021 toooo much coz I know no 2.1 set is better than this one unless I go for AudioEngine A5 :) but then AudioEngine A5 will also seems to me an average set as I am using bookshelves and stereo AMP set-up so before this set-up A5 would be downgrade.

Anyways Congratulationsssss. :)

Hope to see more feedback from u for Creative Gigaworks T3 but this set has got rave reviews almost from any review site I have read till date.

Also which sound card u have?

No sound card on my system.

and i dont plan on installing one anytime soon.. hence seriously been giving thought of putting the set on sale in the mkt section.

Maybe i am spoilt by the previous set of mine, but with the 5021, the set had good proportion for all the 3 aspects.. the mids, the highs and the lows.

With T3, the mids are being augmented by the lows from the woofer.

Songs been good and with time and the burn in reflecting, the speaker should sound better. But atm, one thing is for sure.. def not worth the tag of 16k for what these been retailing for in at Nehru Place.

let Pics do some talking..

Thanks for the review. Seems overall the are not at all worth the price.

What other options do we have for good 2.1 speakers under 10k? :S

Christ you spent 16k for those? :dead:

Just curious but did you check how much Aramex Shop-n-Ship would charge for importing the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 (not the GMX!). It is still available in the US and retails for pretty cheap. Definitely under 15k I am betting if they were to be imported. Besides, you will need a decent step-down transformer if you were to use it here.

i didn spent 16k ..

i picked these for 12.5k via letsbuy.

i did considered the importing part but i been running from pillar to post for my 5021's puny lil IC which wont cost a shade above 200/- Rupees.. so that, combined with the ratings on the sites.. i went ahead with these.

These speakers are not that bad but every now and then i keep getting the feeling.. wasnt there supposed to be something else at this point in my (media) file. Case in question.. To the moon and back song from Savage garden. The rumbling in the beginning seems changed somehow.

Dont have option to adjust the treble, and also the long throw woofer effect is not there (not that its mentioned in the specs) so the price seems even more unjustified.

For people who havent had prolonged 5021 exposure, this would sound good. crank it up with a soundcard and foobar stuff and they ll be disregarding my view altogether.

@Spacescreamer

I would suggest u to run these speakers for about a week or so and see if u have any frnd having Xonar DX if yes so borrow it from him for 1-2 days and see if it helps. I used to run my MX-5021 on Supreme FX2 Sound card which comes with motherboard which is better than realtek AFAIK but then I switched on to Xonar DX and then I came to know the SQ of MX-5021 srsly. There is a difference of DAY & NIGHT now after switching to Xonar DX.

Definitely T3 is not that bad and at the same time not at all bad for the price u bought it.
