Hello,
I am looking for 6Jx14 for tyre size 185/60/R14 ,5 alloy wheel set. Which are the reliable brands I need to look? Will I get under 20K ?
Is there any place in Bangalore for used wheels?

aura seems to have stopped production . I am trying to get from Sai magwheels newdelhi. My ride is all terrain highway. dont want to change the factory fitted tyres. which are 185/60/14.
Looking for 5 wheels set of 5/100 PCD, 6" width, 14" wheel with 35 offset.

I'm right here! :P

See, SSW alloys are good quality. 14" will cost about 20k for a set of 5 brand new. And very good quality. Not crap quality like HR, Plati, etc...

Apollo Acelere Wheelz are also a good option. They will about a thousand bucks cheaper than SSW.

I would suggest only these two. Konig isnt available in B'lore. Lenso doesnt make anything in 14". Minimum is 15". For 14", it is Plati, League, HR who rule the market but it;s only due to the price. Their paint finish isnt really lasting, the strength of the alloys is also questionable.

Luckily for oyu, you have the budget to go in for good quality SSW wheels or Apollo Acelere wheels.

You can see designs here: Stamford Sport Wheels and Welcome to Apollo Tyres

There have been some new designs from SSW which are not shown properly on the website though. They look fantastic in person.

PS: Which car? Skoda Fabia?

Where in bangalore I get SSW? or Apollo? Will they ship these here?
Some people say the PCD of my wheels 5/100 with 14" is rare to get. Dont know.

Yes..the car is Fabia.

Thanks a lot for you inputs Nikhil. really appreciate.

5 hole 14" is very rare. That is for sure. I'll try to find out and let you know. Pretty sure Apollo dont have it. SSW might have it.

Why dont you just buy alloys from Skoda? Or get 15". They are slightly easier.

fabia wheelcaps cost 2.6k a piece. I shudder to think how much the alloys cost :P

One of my friend asked for OEM Fabia Alloys cost and to his surprise it costs 7800 per alloys. I was like :@:@

Thats a great info. Anyway I need to sell the original wheel and caps.

skoda wheels cost around 7.5K per wheel. so thats ruled out.

If I need to upgrade to 15", then need to shell out for new tyres as well. So the total cost will go north.

I have seen today alloys which suits fabia, with brand name "chrome elements" cost 5 wheel set 20 to 25K in bangalore. Is this a good brand?

I have seen it in the big autoshop on Victoria road. Only two types are available in the fabia specification. Couldnt make out the name of the shop since the whole exterior from top to bottom is filled with brandnames.

That must be hot Tracks.

I suggest you stay away from these crappy wheels. And for Hot Tracks to be selling at that price is daylight robbery.

I told you naa.... wait till Saturday. I'll let you know if you can get anything else in that size.

If you go to 15", you will have to spend more on tyres, but it wont necessarily be a bad thing. Going with no-name Chinese crap alloys is not worth it.

I have seen suitable 14" wheels in HR brand. Is HR and HRS are the same.... Suitable wheels are available under 20K for fabia.

And the OEM tyre seems to be perfect for the vehicle. I dont want to alter that. I am not that good to question skoda R&D.

Perfect for you! With a set of MRFs.

Sad part is, we've started to deal with Plati :( . I was against it, but customers demand it. People WANT cheap alloys with no quality or paint finish to speak of. Price rules in India. :( :'(

Anand, the thing is, no one knows what HR is, what HRS is. They have no proper website, nothing. Most of it just made in China. The only difference is the centre cap. Depending on what price they sell it at, they put either an HR cap, a Lenso cap or a Skoda/Honda/etc cap.
