15-20K Looking for an Android with good network connectivity at less than 20K

As mentioned in the title, priority is good network connectivity. This is for a friend, who has had bad experiences in the past with a Pixel, which could hardly latch on to a 5G network, while a cheaper Samsung was able to perform better in the same situation. So, the priority goes like this:
1. Network connectivity (he has a Jio SIM)
2. Good battery back up
3. Good display
4. Not very heavy

Since the person is not very tech savvy, I would prefer something that gets updates for a longer duration. Manufacturers like iQoo, Tecno, Redmi, etc. are a strict no-no. Would prefer one from Samsung or Oneplus or Nothing is possible.

Budget is 20K, with an option to increase another 2K if really necessary.
Please suggest.

From my limited experience, motorola has better network strength than Oppo, I don't know about others

Do we know which modems phones like edge 50 fusion or g85 etc use? Is it mentioned anywhere?

That's likely an assumption, as they have been in the industry for many years, making cordless phones and pagers.

Samsung is best for non-tech person, Samsung OneUI is really very good for novice or even non tech person.
Oppo/Vivo also makes good light weight and sturdy phones.
