I've been generally annoyed with how noisy and ineffective bathroom exhaust fans tend to be. At a previous residence, I basically threw the fan out and replaced it with a 140mm noctua fan and a 3d printed bracket.

i want to try this too but fans bigger than 140mm pc fan is harder to come by..

There are industrial grade exhaust fans available on indiamart

I have been using something like this and they work great.

Size: 250 mm. I know it's big and somewhat loud. But these are features, not bugs.

No fogging.

Also, is there any exhaust fan which can act as intake fan (like some switch to reverse polarity/rotation direction)?

Yes , but mostly the industrial types .
The bigger the size , the slower it can be run to suck the same amount of air out . A 10 inch or 12 inch industrial fan behind a brushed aluminum grill would look decent and the power would also be there .
