I posted this thread on the wrong forum before because when looking through all of the forums I seemed to have missed this one. This one seems more correct than the one I posted in previously..
So my Skullcandy headphones broke after about a couple months of ownership. Totally lame, but they were only thirty dollars. I basically need a new set of headphones, and pretty soon because I'm going to be going to a less developed country than the one I live in now for a while (as in at least six months), and I need a good pair of headphones to last me for that time, since if they break, the likelihood I can replace them will be low.
Here's what I need:
- Effective noise-cancellation (the city I'm going to be living in is noisier than what I'm used to, if possible, I want the world to be silent with the headphones on)
- A cord that isn't too long or too short (I want something to safely sit in my pocket without getting caught in a bike chain)
- Able to handle loud bass effectively (but not too bassy, I don't want my ears to hurt)
- Not too bulky, and if possible, something I may be able to fold up and put in my pocket or easily keep in a backpack or some kind of hard case to prevent damage
- Has to be $200 US or less
- Can't be battery-powered (I really don't wanna keep buying batteries)
- Over the ear design (I think it's more comfortable)
I'd like something to fit as many of these characteristics as possible, but if one or two are left out, I'd appreciate a mention. I'm not very experienced with audio equipment, but I'm sure many of you here are. Thanks in advance.
I did a little research myself before posting this and came upon these: Newegg.com - V-Moda Crossfade M-80 M-80-SHADOW Remote Headphone
I checked out the reviews and they seem to be what I'm looking for, but has anyone seen anything better quality, more fitting to the above criteria, and/or cheaper than the ones I linked to?
