courier company lost my cowon J3 as some people looted the train( i sent that for RMA) :(
Its just 1 month old :(

Thats really sad to hear ,what is that looting thingy? .Which courier company did you use ?.How much did you put the vale of the product as ?.If you have put the value of the product correct then you can try claiming it back else get another one nothing much can be done.

Were you couriering it yourself or did the Cowon people pick it up from your doorstep.

If its the latter than you should tell the cowon people to deal with it. Also, please let us know the Courier company.

What kind of excuse is that? All packages are insured against loss. This is why I always use companies like TNT/Aramex. They may charge, but you are garunteed professionalism.

it's sahara courier and they are jsut refusing to claim anything...
i even don't know that its real incident or not.:@

Why do people use unknown courier companies like Sahara,Deccan 360( used by an ebay seller,Deccan 360 folks did not even know my address and never bothred to call the number mentioned on the package i had to call them all the way from NZ and blast them left and right.).Now that you learnt a expensive lesson try not using stupid $hit courier companies.I sent my D2+ to Cowon through Bluedart ,yes they do charge me premium but the product reaches safe.

sahara courier, cowon J3 (bought < 1 month ago for 11k),they are just refusing any claim...:(

Never heard of Sahara Courier before! :S

Perhaps you should have used something in the likes of DTDC, First Flight, Blue Dart or Pafex IMO.

And why is this thread in the Audio Section? Shall ask a mod to move it to GT.

ahw,my mistake..

Sorry to say but more than the courier guys you are to be blamed for this. You shouldn't have trusted some random courier company to handle a product worth 11k. What were you thinking when you sent it thru some Sahara courier :S ? This is what happens when people try to ship products through some random company to save a few bucks .

I always prefer DTDC or Aramex for low value products under 5 or 10k .Anything above that , it has to be BLUE DART even if it costs 200-300 bucks more . Atleast the parcels are insured and there are almost nil chances of something like this happening .

Anyways now you cant do anything about :(. Max to max try complaining to their head office or threaten them that you will escalate the matter to consumer court. I hope you have some sort of receipt of the consignment details .Atleast try and get 50-60% compensation from these guys .

I would say a NO to DTDC as well their service is bit dodgy .Nothing went wrong with me but i feel they are not so good.I prefer aramex, bluedart, even pafex is good .Low cost it would be first flight.

Nothing much can be done by us to these courier companies .If you read the conditions clearly they mention how much can you claim back on a single consignement.I wish the rule for courier companies is as good as in abroad. Here in NZ if the courier companies loose your stuff submit the bill of the product and get back the money, matter of fact no one uses couriers everyone prefer NZ post as it is tied with DHL and very very good service across country and international as well.

Blue dart is the best. those guys are very professional. You get SMSs regarding ur packages. Even their Customer Care is pretty good. I always send my packages through Blue Dart.

I always prefer Peace of Mind over Price.

If that's not possible then the next best thing would be DTDC.

its a small courier company and i don't they have any online tracking system.:ashamed:
don't know how i trusted sahara for expensive product..
now i got my lesson :(
previously i used this courier to send my gpu( radeon 4770) for RMA and they got the gpu in 15 days

Train getting looted? That's the lamest excuse I have heard of. Did they mention where it happened? There must have been some report in the papers? You cant do much but contact someone higher up the chain in the company and tell them that the courier you lost was of the most importance.

Please use a reputed courier service the next time you ship any items that you value the most.

I recently sent a pair of Crucial RAMs to a friend in Mumbai and somehow DTDC figured that the fastest way to send couriers from Lucknow to Mumbai is through J&K. I wonder what these guys are smoking these days.

My earlier experience with DTDC has always been good. Thanks god they managed to deliver it in one piece.
