I came to know recently that Eagledvd has launched the LOTR Extended Editions Trilogy in a box set priced at 2K.Anyone bought one yet?If so,a review would be highly appreciated or links for the same.I just need to know if the quality on the discs is same as the ones released by New Line Cinema dvds.If so,i'd happily buy this set.Link below, chk it out

I would suggest stay away from it, EAGLE is not known for good reproduction, the quality that I have seen in other prints are pathetic, worse than vcd print.

True that. They make one of the most pathetic quality right after Bombino video. It's better to order them online or better yet get the HDTV version which would be totally worth it.:hap2:

Thanks for the replies guys.I do have a couple of Eagle dvds namely Seven - Special Edition,Final Destination 2 and Million Dollar Baby. These dvds have horrible graphics and ear-piercing,ridiculous music during the Eagle dvd intro video that appears soon after the disc is inserted. But thankfully, the video and audio of the movie have been faithfully reproduced atleast on the first two titles i mentioned b4.They feature some of the best audio tracks one can find on a movie dvd but ofcourse these were mastered by New Line Cinema which makes some of the finest movie dvds in the world.Im really interested in the DTS 6.1 track thats present in this LOTR boxset.Im a bigtime dvd junkie.I already have the LOTR trilogy limited edition dvds that i ordered thru ma couz from USA but sadly they dont feature the DTS track.I had actually ordered the EE sets but ended getting the wrong ones. But they are exceptional too.The bass on these discs is insane and clarity in the video is pristine.Hopefully, the EE box set from Eagle can live upto my expectations.

I saw them at crossword inorbit yesterday for 1999.

12 DVD's... geez. The finish didnt seem too good. I wonder how the dvd quality will be !!

..BUT.. I'm very tempted to buy :(

dude dont spend 2 k over eagel dvds. rather get them from HEERA PANNA or something they usually have those original discs which are imported from the SE asia which are much better. buying LOTR on eagle is not a good idea.

I just rented Joggers' Park DVD, authored by Eagle, and I must say I was impressed :) . They were able to maintain the same shitty quality and standard :bleh: , again I say don't go for eagle banner. :@

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'd advise you to stay away from Eagle altogether. If you want the LOTR extended edition, get them from Amazon UK. I managed to get them for ~2k around 2 years ago. Top quality and very well packaged.

I have this Eagle edition and it isnt too bad.

The packing is a little flimsy, but apart from that, it's very good.

The sound quality and picture quality is very good. Of course, nothing compared to HD 720p or 1080, but very good for a normal DVD.

Absolutely not.

The only thing is that at the beginning of every movie, they have a small ad for CNBC TV 18's bollywood show with Rajeev Pasand something.
