Leonard Woronowicz, 63, had such a terrible headache that he was forced to go the hospital to check it out. The doctors pulled out a 12 cm long blade from his head. Four days earlier he had fallen from a chair in the kitchen and apparently the knife had hit him in the head. He did not realize what had happened, not even when he couldn’t find the blade to the knife. He later left the hospital with no permanent injuries.

Without noticing it Patrick Lawler shot himself with a nail gun in the head. After six days with a horrible pain in his teeth he went to the doctor. They discovered the nail and removed it by surgery. Patrick recovered fully.

The construction worker Ron Hunt fell from a ladder onto the drill in California 2003. The drill was 46 cm long, 3.75 cm wide and pushed his brain to the side. Except for receiving an artificial eye he recovered fully.

A hungry snake? This x-ray taken in Florida shows us that it has two light bulbs in its stomach.

Morgan Andersson, 34, from Sweden accidentally swallowed a nail. While traveling in the ambulance he listened to the Swedish championship in hockey. When “his team†scored he started screaming and the nail loosened from his throat, went down his stomach and eventually came out the natural way.

i have encountered and treated patients like the last one with something stuck up in oesophagus. (the samples were a safety pin, wire, pin, marbles, peanut, denture, and coins of almost every denomination).

while i was doing my postgraduation, we frequently had patients of RTA, and we had two policement with suicidal bullet injuries both surviving miraculously without much handicap.

first 3/4 days before and after the surgery / treatment the face of these kind of patients are horrible almost non recognisable due to edema and swelling and dressings and prosthesis and plasters.

Really lucky!! I know of a small kid in my mom's school who had a javelin pierce his back and came right out of the front of his body(sports day accident). It missed the heart by an inch. He was not even operated on. Really lucky chap!!
