Hi Guys..

Recently i upgraded my system.Please check my rig for my config.

Now while playing games like Assassins Creed and Cod5 my pc shutdowns automatically.

I checked the GPU temp from Gpu-Z and Rivatuner and after after increasing the fan speed it is not going above 60-65 but still it shutdowns while playing Games like COD5 and Assassins Creed.

Wierd thing is when i play games like Cricket 2007 and Counter strike for hours it does not shutdown. :S

I just have 1 gb ram on my system... I even tried reinstalling OS.Still the same problem. :@ :@

Please help me guys..

But dude i have Corsair Vx 450 and i think it can handle EVGA 8800GT dude..

Berfore upgrading to E8440 i had E6300 and it was working fine.

Only after upgrading it to E8400 i am facing this problem.

Only diffrence is i had 2gb ram when i had E6300 and now i have 1gb ram on E8400 since 1gb ram has gone bad

Firstly.. stop double posting.
Secondly.. as has already been suggested, take a look at the cpu temps too.

I will try that and will post the results soon

Try post cpu temps :P
This is third time its said in this post :)

Ya bro i know..I am in office rite now and will go home at around 5.

Will check CPU temps and will let u guys know.
Just wanna know more and more steps so asking again n again.

Chill.

Problem seems to be with CPU overheating.
Since you upgraded to E8440 from E6300, you must have messed up with thermal compound or loose or inproper fitting of heatsink cooler.

Apply new good quality of thermal compound layer and re-fit your heat sink.
this should solve your problem.

@H@cKer
oh ok..cabby seems to the problem in my opinion too.

@rocky_pratik

Have you added any fans to your cabby? i.e. Intake and exhaust.
I would be great if you could upload your cabby's pic here, so that it would help us finding out the solution:)

And its also good to have fan profiles set using rivatuner rather than have to set the gpu's fan to 100% all the time!!!
