And, I pay around 17/unit for electricity, which is not even consistent these days.

Edit: the news is about MSEDCL which powers whole Maharashtra minus the Mumbai.

Commercial or residential
 
We are staying in your premises..
We sleep, we eat, we take care of family.. everything comes under WFH..
We have a computer, laptop, pen, paper at home we fall under WFH

Same for Odisha. Under 4-5 per unit at most places.
And places like Bangalore even offer first 200 units as free for local or some criteria satisfying people. So, most apartments have first 200 units free.
And then there's Pune. It's cheaper to boil water or make rice using gas stoves than Induction. It's cheaper to do anything via gas stove here lol.

It works out to max rate of about Rs.23/unit for me during summers
Rs.16.64 per unit above 500 units
FAC Rs.1
Wheeling charge Rs. 1.17 /unit
Electricity duty 16%
plus Rs.639 fixed charges for LT I Res 3-Phase.

You probably have private players like ambani, tata. I have heard they are cheap and much more reliable.

It is indeed true. We have been using LPG geysers for more than 2 decades now.

damn man you guys are paying too much
max i pay in summers with 3 acs and 3tvs and other essentials is like 9-10k
