Make the folder invisible without hiding(Windows OS Only)
Make your folders invicible...Smiley

1)Right Click on the desktop.Make a new folder
2)Now rename the folder with a space(U have to hold alt key and type 0160).
3)Now u have a folder with out a name.
4)Right click on the folder>properties>customize. Click on change icon.
5)Scroll a bit, u should find some empty spaces, Click on any one of them.
click ok Thats it,

now u can store ur personal data without any 3rd party tools

This works only in windows.In Linux everything is visible these special alt characters also:bleh: anyway nice tip.

sorry to spoil your party again but what if on Desktop or in folder where you have kept your *hidden Folder* i click ctrl+a...

Oh please, no offense meant. I am just bumping up your thread. Nice trick for those who doesn't know about it.

But a word of caution coz, as I found out a few months back, little knowledge is dangerous. Sometimes this *hidden folder* can get quite sticky P ) specially on Vista.

In case you wish to delete it and can't do so, please post here

To Hide a folder in Linux just put a . before the the name and refresh the Windows
