Magnet, learn to write FFS. This is not an SMS message board or some $hit like that.

Reduce the number of dots in your posts its a PITA to read your posts.

On topic: I only go to the malls for bird watching and free exposure (I miss the Gurgaon malls :(, I used to get hard ons watching the chicks show their b00ty there. Better than watching pr0n lol).

Start from Eatables sections(fruits/veggies), almost all have rotten stuff stored which is no where near in quality to the small shop nextdoor.

Trick is to get it fresh, but good luck finding out what arrives on which day. I've found their prices on veggies competitive but fruits not.

I'd agree with the rest of the categories. The one nearby is renovating the store for a clothes section. They seem to do this every 15 months AFAICT.

A very big game these malls play is that the products which are advertised to be cheaper or on discounted rates than the rest of the market are those which are fast approaching Expiry date or quality is questionable. So, as a means of clearance, discounts are advertised.

Another game i've found with imported stuff ie breakfast cereal is placing a sticker over the expiry date and extending the life by another few more months. This was in Foodworld's gourmet store.

I haven't been to reliance fresh ever. But when i suggest my friends to join for just a trip down they suggest lets go to nearby market rather than Fresh as the place completely stink.

Now wouldn't it had been better that reliance hire some departmental store of around 2000 square feet and have the place rather than open in malls or a complete store of itself and making it unbearable for others

Also agree with almost all of teche post and that of blr too.....its a common practice to increase expiry date here as we all know what standards does Food and distribution Administration have here which cant be compared 1% to USA standards

Note::My first post on TE in 4 years without any sms lingo (Short messaging service language) :yahoo:

But i m missing dots.....................
Sorry for the PITA.(allow this sms word )

I'm surprised to hear this, cpl yrs back reliance fresh had a good reputation here. The buzz was over how they cut out the middle man and went straight to the grower. ITC might have had more success in this tho.

Well frankly how much ever these malls show case their low prices, the truth is that wen you go to your city's main bazar, you'l get things atleast 30% cheaper if you search hard enough..
How you talk with these people is very imp as these are wholesellers and seldom interested in selling to small buyers. And you cant really trouble them beyond a limit..
I've searched for biscuits and oil and dawat basmati in these markets and bought bulk for extreme vfm prices, so much so that it actually makes the products taste better :P
