I practiced with wolverine and Ryu (as I main Ryu in SSF4).... I was able to cancel moves and take out specials...

Consider the below:

lp+lp+lk+mp+mk (or even lp+lk+lk+c.hp+tatsu) used be like a nightmare for me as I was never accurate in execution:)
 
yup...I did...but somehow I think its not always...I can also have ultras using the L,M,H buttons and also using R2.... And u can execute both a characters ultra in the same round:)

I still need to understand all other options given in the game; but I still like SSf4 better from fist looks
 
I did execute 2 characters Ultra combo with Deadpool and Dante. I called upon Deadpool and executed the combo when my meter was stacked at the second level. Got around 98 hits (may be more). ;)

Try playing the Arcade mode on Hard difficulty and things will really heat up. Normal is just...well...normal. :P
 
Yup....I know normal is super damn easy:)

That's why I did not play....

The point I am trying to make is... Combos are easier compared to SSF4 wherein the timing is a little relaxed and u don't have to be as accurate as SSf4 to execute:) Anyways In fighting games U never know what combos can be done and how good you are till u go online and play :)

That is something, I'm DEFINITELY NOT aiming for. ;)

I love these beat-em-ups titles because they are fun and you just enjoy them, win or lose, doesn't matter. I used to master everything as a kid, but now, it's more about just "have a blast" versus matches. :P
 
Same here dude...Noone here wants to become a champion I guess;) (The currrent champion has been playing these games since 20 years now I guess)

But if u go online I think u would know the amount of fun u miss when In offline.... I almost cannot play SSF4 offline...since my xbox gold membership expired I have not even touched my console (oh.h... by the way...I got the xbox 360 only to play SSf4 through xbox live:))

20 years? WOW! That is definitely hardcore. :)

As for online, It would really be good to battle it out once to see how it feels, but I guess I'm more of an offline person. You must be the first person to get the 360 for SSFIV (:P). Everyone that I have known have got it mainly for Gears of War or Alan Wake. You must really enjoy the game a lot. Ryu was (still is), my favorite player since I first started playing SF titles back in the NES days, closely followed by Guile and Zangief. The SF roster in this game is a bit low. There's only Akuma, Viper, Chun Li & Ryu, right?
 
^^20 yrs and the top players have immense rivalry built up....Its when u play online u realize that these games arte not about just move execution but accurate anticipation, deceptions:) and of course a lot of mind games:)

SSf4 has opened up a lot of scope for this dying genre. Now, there are multiple tournaments almost every months with thousands of USD's in prize money. And the good players SF4 have managed to get sponsors which pay for their clothers, hotels, tickets and other stuff:) Imagine going to Paris to take part in a tournament and doing all this for free (to just play some video games:))

Yup, MVC3 has 4-5 rosters for SF4...I also main RYU but now looking to try out Guile, Viper, Akuma, Rog & dudley:)

I got the xbox 360 as I had specifically ordered a arcade Fight stick (10k bucks!) just for playing SF4 and this stick works on xbox and PC only and not on PS3:(
 
Seems you can do serious pwning in arcade games :P Well Online for me and its will be my first arcade game on PS3. How are Catain America and Deathpool ?
