here r the screenshots.
i uninstalled it again i installed after downloading the latest version from asus site i didnt work.
i again did from marvel site it didnt work :( :(.
here r the screenshots anyways everytime it rturns a error code of 10. says the device cannot start.
i need solution.

Looks like a Invalid Data(device cannot start) Code 10 error.

Try downloading the document here to try fix the problem..:)

Follow the steps in the document to fix the problem.

x86, you have a case of xp not being able to allocate resources either due to IRQ conflicts or a driver error.

From your bios disable all the devices you dont use to free some IRQ's, in xp you cannot manually assign a IRQ so only way right now i can think of is to disable few devices or disable devices which you dont use or are whose slots are empty/unutilised to free up IRQ resources.

the stuff alias said isnt working at all i am clicking to enable it and its not even enabling when i click apply.
now dipdude i've everything almost all disabled starting from sata to i394 to game port to com port and all only the dual lans are enabled but the irq enabled in bios is set 2 auto shud i change it one more thing i have flashed my bios to 1011 beta the first time i got the mobo can this be due to this?
the flashing was 100% successful.

one more thing shud i install nvidia latest chipset drivers..my nvidia chipset drivers r oldas supplied on the cd.

Ok, dont think this is because of your beta bios.

Now, enable only a single lan and reboot. see if that helps. Also, afaik you cannot manually assign IRQ's in XP. OR
If the above does not help, then load optimised defaults in bios and disable devices or ports which you dont use and try again.

one more thing shud i install nvidia latest chipset drivers..my nvidia chipset drivers r oldas supplied on the cd.

Yes do that, no harm.

Edit : Forget to mention, uninstall the device first and then do the steps i mentioned.

Hmm, try using the latest drivers too..

Also, try this option. In BIOS, set 'Reset Configuration Data' in the PCI/PNP secton to enable and reboot.

What you are also looking for in the "Permissions for PCI" and "Advanced Security Settings for PCI" windows are;
For both the Everyone and System entries to have "Full Control" and "Not Inherited".

shit the problem still here i tried setting bios to default still aint working .
motherboard a8n sli premium
yes its onboard marvell lan.
alias i am posting screenshots bout tht registry
now i am downloading the friggin 35 mb driveer lol

So right now you have disabled as many devices as possible and rebooted, just dont forget to uninsall the device first and the reboot, or uninstall & scan for hardware changes.

also can you post a screenie of your assigned irq's via device manager.

OR go to system information/hardware resources/check the conflicts sharing or forced hardware or the IRQ.

Dipdude, if its the problem of not allocating resources or IRQ conflicts like you mentioned, the error code should be 12 and not 10.

The message under that circumstance would be " This device cannot find any free <type> resources to use."

In such a case, disabling devices and reassigning IRQs would work.. Isnt that right?

ok here are the respective screenshots.
irq's.

conflicts/sharings.

now here is the device manager profile with "checked hidden devices" after uninstalling the marvell driver.

and now here it is after "scan for changes" then xp automatically detects marvel then hers the screenshot.

sry tok some time to post these screenies my connection is gay today

here goes alias the screenies .
this is reg 1 as the default state as u can see

this is reg 2 after i click to disable it the confirmation messege

this is the messege tht appears after i click on the second option as directed by tht .doc document given by alias.

now it shows the damn problem even if i click yes and it gets unselected automatically means its not even letting me select it :|

The screenies appear to be fine, so i think we can eliminate IRQ problem.

Are you sure you are installing correct drivers for both lans, also best would be to uninstall the other lan/wan drivers or disable the other lan, just keep the marvel one and try.

Also, try the inbuilt troubleshooter, see if that helps or atleast narrows down the problem.

i tried all em aint working my last choice is to uninstall all drivers and install this fresh copy of 6.5 its downloading i'll let you know as soon as i do it.

x86, it is a driver issue, looks like you are not installing the drivers in correct manner, double check all the drivers you install make sure you d/l the correct drivers for correct os. read the m/c manual for the driver installation.

Unistall the drivers for both lans and reinstall the latest versions correctly.

@ x86, You flashed the m/b bios ??
Then i would suggest you do a complete Cmos Configuration Data Reset by "Removal of Battery Method".

Do not forget to "Load Optimised Settings" immediately upon the first reboot and then "save and exit". then upon reboot , enter cmos setup again and change all the settings as per ur rig / choice and again "Save and Exit".

ps: do not attach any lan cable while installing the drivers ....

post back ur observations .....

EDit: which m/b you have. ??
it would be better if you post ur systen config in ur signature just like good lads here do.
staff should enforce this unwritten rule rigidly epecially for noobs who seek help / advice / suggestions etc ...otherwise it is very frustrating to "imagine" what hardware the query poster has.

ok guys this is ****ing weird playin around wit the bios carefully.
enabled asus qfan and i changed the cpu temperature to 60 the thresold on
my motherbod is a8n asus sli premium.
upon next boot tht eystem wont boot at all it would show the sli premium log and hang keyb mouse everything hangs it shows "press del to enter setup" nothing else after a lot of tries i finally cleared the cmos rtc by removing the battery and the system booted with a messege "cmos checksum error" then i went to bios it was everything on default set the time and all bla bla bla and the system is running fine.
the marvel issue yet to be solved i havent finished downloading drivers downloading them will keep yall updated.

c;mon somone help me i reinstalledf the os still problem is there aacha is it possible for the copy of os i am using? ... ?
