i haven't played the first game and i can follow the story just fine.

Read wiki if have any problems.But ME1 is also a very good game.If you haven't played ME2 then play ME1 first.

i'm saying i haven't played the first game but i don't have any problem playing ME2. the story isn't that hard to follow and it can be played as a stand alone game.

nope it's there on mine. downloading it now too.

Yeah, got mine also. The default page is landing on the payable DLC. Need to manually click and go to the registered game promotions link in the profile to find the download link.
