Gave in to temptation and downloaded the demo. Played the intro mission, Ashley looks hot !! Thankfully the intro mission did not have much story, stopped playing after that.

Despite being a multi-platform release (or perhaps because of it), Mass Effect 3 on PC won't support game pads such as the Xbox 360 controller.

BioWare's community reaper Chris Priestly delivered the news on the company's forum.

"The PC version does not support controllers," he wrote. "They may or may not work, but they are unsupported by the game."

Strange, perhaps, but not surprising - BioWare didn't offer game pad support in the PC releases of Mass Effect 1 & 2, Dragon Age 1 & 2 or SWTOR.

Keyboard and mouse FTW!

Ah come on! What the hell?

I knew you'd be pissed at this.

Actually even I am to some extent since I thought of playing this on the 40 incher by connecting the PC to the display. But nvm. But if you could play the first 2 titles using the controller, I am sure this would have the support.

I am still playing ME1 and have played a bit of ME2 (just to see how much it differs from its predecessor). I fired up the ME3 demo last night and below are some observations (more in comparison to ME:1 than 2):

Three modes of play: regular, story (less combat skills required) and action (?) (more combat less decisions).

I chose regular and still received lesser dialog options (2 at the most).

Weapons have limited ammo and don't heat up (as opposed to ME:1)

Combat is more real-time and action oriented.

The missions in the demo purely focus on combat any rpg elements.

More later...

Yeah it's a bit hard initially until you get the hang of it. I used to get the same feeling when playing Gears of War after a break. Happened with 2 and 3!

Jacked up visuals for the PC is a given. All the more reason to play it on the PC.

I don't understand what's the harm in including a basic controller support. It's not like the keyboard and mouse controls would be hampered. Heck, Witcher 2 was one game which surprised me with it's native 360 controller support, albeit it came out on the PC first. This is ridiculous.

Played the multiplayer coop with some random players..Twas ok but nothing exceptional or anything, playing with our classes powers make this stand out other than that its just horde mode in mass effect skin..It should be fun when played with friends over voip!

the initial half an hr of demo looks quite ok with me so far.. though had to stop playing coz i had something urgent on my plate than gaming.. hope the game lives up to the expectation of an intriguiing story line.. looks like i already got an idea of what is in store as a gist.

The pre-order Mass Effect 3 get a bonus copy of Battlefield 3 is over. All pre-orders made during the deal will receive a code by Mar. 8th.

@deadstoned This deal was North America only.

I'm pretty sure this is because of limitations due to agreements with distributors worldwide.

That promo was only for North American guys (US & Canada). Does not apply to rest of the world... it already ended BTW, no more free BF3.

Anyone else loving ME3 Demo Multiplayer? I sure am!

Oh man !

I was so much exited that I forgot to check it's validity and expiry ! LOL !

@ viralbug lol ! Yes !

The deluxe edition for 1999 INR is good deal for me . And bf3 going as low as 1000 . So it makes me3+bf3 for 2999 inr = price of 1 copy of MW3 which makes former deal a much much better one .

Getting the demo for ps3, mass effect 2 copy is already out, another play through beckons.

Edit: the frame rates on ps3 are not good. The cutscenes are stuttering, animation is not smooth.

Edit 2: Played through the Demo on PC, game feels pretty good. Movements are less clunky, shooting is more fluid but Sounds are okay at best. Cutscenes/Background score are good.

Performance on PS3 was just horrible, get the PC version.
