So far the movie is shaping up nicely. The trailer although not perfect , is still looking very good. Mark Walberg looks decent as Max payne , he looks more like the Max in Max payne 1. I hope this turns out better then Hitman.
 
The only thing i am worried about is the rating of the movie. This movie is rated PG-13. Max Payne was never a PG 13 stuff , even the game was rated R. Don't know how badly this is gonna effect the movie.

Guys , watch the trailer. Looks really impressive. Although i do have a doubt. Were there any Angels or demons in the game as seen in the trailer ? I mean maybe they are Hallucinations caused by the Drug V but still they looked odd.

John Moore hasn't done that bad though. He directed Behind enemy lines and The flight of the Phoenix. Both were pretty decent movies.
 
Clive owen would have been much better. Mark Wahlberg looks too bulky for this kinda role. But this will do. At least they have a movie....and thank god Owe Boll is not directing it

I agree , Clive owen would have suited the role perfectly. Other then Clive , Christian bale , George cloony or even Mel Gibson ( though he is old ) would have been ok.

For Mona sax , there was no one better then Angelina jolie. Even Jessica alba would have been a good choice. Anyways Mila Kunis doesn't look that bad.

Now lets just hope the movie turns out to be Decent.

@ Ice : I Have not set my expectations too high but it looked like a decent enough trailer to me. Nothing mind blowing but it did resemble the atmosphere of the game.

Does anybody know if the Max Payne game soundtrack is gonna feature in the movie ?
 
Ah..Its normally the other way around. First the movie and then the game. Which are the other movies that were made based on the games ?
 
^Hitman , Final Fantasy , Alone in the Dark , Lara croft Tomb raider , Mortal Kombat , Resident Evil , Street Fighter , Doom , Silent Hill , Postal and BloodRayne to name a few. Far cry , Tekken , Prince of persia and Halo are next in line.

btw Kathy tong would have been better anyday. Mila Kunis is okay too.
 
^ Exactly , Hitman was a fairly decent movie ... so i am expecting Max Payne to be something more then a decent movie , after all its our favorite game we are talking about :P
