I bought some MAXELL CDR (80XL-S 48x) today. I ran Nero Info Tool. It is showing manufacturer as Daxon. Is this media good? Maxell is supposed to be next to TY.

daxon is pretty good. but the only media i've used personally are the benq 8x dvd-rs

Blue and green packaging? Last time I bought a spindle, (last week), they were Ritek TG. Benq (Daxon) is good as well. You got a nice deal..

Yup chk out daxon's sites ! I guess maxell sources discs from different manufacturers then.
 
^^Yep, Benq = Daxon. They DO source from different manufs, even their DVD-Rs -> I got Made In Japan MXLRG03, others get crappy Ritek G05..
 
Hmmm...are the Mitsubishi Ultra Platinum Blue CDs a good buy? my moserbaer stock finishing.....
