thanks guys, cables need to be hidden. don't forget there are 2 DSL lines, 3 LAN wires and a cable wire too 
not to forget the power cables
connectors of some cables were so big that they could not go in the conduit pipe - like the DVI cable. in this case the conduit pipe and bends were cut all through their length, split open and then the cable was put inside. then they were sealed with tape and placed in the wall. after that a mixture of cement and badarpur did the work.
the LCD mount is a two piece fixed one. bought it for 300, there is another one which can be adjusted up/down & left/right
