You can also use Media Player Classic Homecinema. It has built in codecs (no installation) and has extensive subtitle options. I use it to position my subs on the black bar and set the alpha to low so that the subs are faded gray and non-obtrusive.

I also wondering about the same thing...anyways I tried these settings in KMplayer and i got it this and its not on the black bars:S

You should also reduce the subtitle font size. The font size you are using is quite big.

KMPlayer can do it for sure. Open the KMPlayer window and hit F2. Then go to the Subtitles menu and edit the options as much as you want. Since others have already mentioned how todo it, I won't repeat it again. However I would you to know that you tweak the position of the font as you like, with full alignment capabilities and also the formatting options are as much varied as in Microsoft Word. So happy tweaking! :)

Use k lite codec and you can use tweak tool the vobsub for placement of subtitles or if you have necessary codec installed just install vobsub and change the preferences

Accidentaly uninstalled Kmplayer..but installing it again and trying all the settings the subtitles still show on the video itself and not on the blackbars:(

Have the set "Draw To Overlay Surface" and also tried Subtitle alignment but the subtitle goes under the blackbars instead of being above them :S

Any Help Guys ??
