Media Tagger - Suggestions Needed

Nothing comes close to MediaMonkey's performance along with a couple of scripts.

Some of my favorites being -
* Delete all album arts from the TAG from multiple songs (get rid of the website logos ;) )
* On the fly renaming of misspelled tags
* Duplicate finder
* Embed tags from links to tags
* Correct the Case
* Remove Prefix / Suffix
* Change FileName according to the Tags (Manually)
Use the scripts, specially AlbumArt Tagger, from this page - Scripts...

You could refer to these two articles as well - Alpha Geek: Whip your MP3 library into shape, Part II - Album art

use winamp pro and select the songs , right click and click sent to auto tag option , its based on music recognition , even if the titles are not correct it will automatically tag all mp3s .

BTW , anyone having trouble playing *.wma (Windows Media Audio) files in WMP11 ? It says codec not found. Which codec do i need for that ? I prefer WMP , so no other player suggestions please :)

Go to Tools-Options-Player-Download codecs automatically (check it)

It would download codec automatically in most of the cases. Otherwise simply install latest version of Klite codec pack, that would solve this problem.

Hmm...Thanks man. I am starting to like mediamonkey. Btw , any of the scripts u mentioned, does any of them provide an auto-tagging option? As in can i just put all the files in batch mode, and let it get their tags, and in the end all i should do is confirm their tags ? That would make my job a hell lot easier. I have around 5000+ Songs which need to be Tagged.

Even i would love to have something like that :ohyeah: , but havn't found anything that cool yet!

Hmm , Fixtunes does that. It took me one full day to retag around 200 songs on my Nokia 5800. Now my computers library needs to be redone, which is gonna take me months :(

I did that when I was in college. Result : 96 GB of tagged songs :bleh: I use Tag and Rename 3 *ahem* version. I don't need automatic tagging (had screwed up lotsa times before; so gave it up. I get the album art; search wiki and then tag the songs. Believe me u need lotsa songs and patience for that :ohyeah: Give it some time. Or next time I need to buy something from Mumbai will drop by your place :bleh:

foobar's masstagger + scripts + discogs plugin

I don't tag my album art into the music files, i just save it in the folder itself with the name of the album. If you want the contrary, mediamonkey is the best bet.
