I need to know which of the above two or something else would be best suited for a basshead.I have got different opnion on the above iem from different TE members. So in a state of confusion.I can spend max 3k for the same and would be using it with my galaxy s and sometimes on pc.

I am using EP-630 for now and like the bass on it :ashamed:.

Wating for valuable suggestions.

Ive tried both but more of M2(own them) and less of M31. The M31 did impress me with the sound and thunderous bass it offers for the price but I really don't think it was a better IEM than M2 overall . I tried the M31 for hardly 15-20 mins while auditioning the new line-up of MEE for 2011. So take this with a pinch of salt. All I remember is I had made 3 groups of earphones after the complete audition. The one I loved , the one that were decent and the one not so great(crap :P).. The M31 was in the decent group .

It did have thunderous and solid bass from what I remember.Probably more than the M2s. So if you are crazy bass head who craves for lot of bass, get the M31 . Otherwise I personally find the M2 to be perfect for a fun bass lover like me .It has ample of bass with all the oomph bass feel and at the same time a good midrange and decent treble extension .

BTW , do we have an official dealer for MEE in India now ? I would suggest you try and get it with local warranty because if anything goes wrong ,RMA from US can take some time and ~500-600 bucks as well. Its been close to a month ,I sent 2 X NuForce earphones for RMA and they are still not back :(.

Bass-head can mean different things.

M31 has better quantity, extension, rumble, but has less control in the sub-bass region. If you are after quantity, go with it.

M2 has good control, tight, smooth, warm bass with a bump to the mid-bass region. You won't get much of sub-bass. I personally don't think of M2 as a bass-head phone. If you are after quality, go with it.

Overall, I rate M2 much higher compared to M31. But, if you are only after bass and that rumbling sensation, M31 makes a good choice. M2 is more like a phone that will not disappoint you due to it's non-fatiguing nature.

M21 from what I read, seems to be a better version of M31, though with slightly lesser bass and rumble. But, it seems to get the sound stage right.

As for dealer, not sure. I end up buying directly from companies most of the time :)

PS: Sorry! Down with fever, so not visiting TE often.

We have the M2 with us and also have all the models of MEElectronics samples since we were offered distribution for the same . If the buyer wishes he can visit our store and audition both the IEMs before deciding :) Trust your ears .
