I dont understand. Why would anyone need a memory card with more than 4 GB capacity. You can always transfer to pc. and free space. Unless you take lot of videos I think 4GB should be more than enough.

On a rough estimate you can take about 1000 pics of high res.

Not if you shoot RAW !!!

I get about 1000 photos on a 16 GB card shooting compressed RAW. If I shoot uncompressed RAW that figure drops to 899 photos.

With 18 MP cameras you will be able to store even less photos.

Agree, I hardly get 400 Shutters on a 16 gig card. My images are 16MP RAW 14-bit.

Not sure but considering your camera doesn't have compressed RAW, you might be able to store around 500 - 600 RAW images.

And which of these should I buy? Or a as cheap 32GB one?

Should be good enough. But do beware that some people have had problems ordering from smartshoppers.in.

Okay. The Sandisk Extreme 16GB SD Card sounds the best. Will buy it from Darya Ganj then when I go next.
