Will this be PS3 exclusive ?

I really couldnt find any SOLID truth stating that MGS4 will be PS3 exclusive, but there has been rumors that it will not be brought out on any other console except the PS3, but there have also been rumors that its arriving to the Xbox 360 within the next couple of months, i dunno??

I hope it gets released for other consoles, all my college class have X360's, theres only three of us who have PS3's, but i over heard a lot of them mention buying a PS3 just for MGS! but then again it will be fun to see the X360 fanboys faces if it gets annonced that its PS3 exclusive:) hehe

Not starting a war or anything:) hehe

I cant wait to laugh at my college class on the 12th june:)

Rather than crook the knee to Konami, EGM has actually refused to review Metal Gear Solid 4 thanks to Konami's demands that nobody mention the game's alleged large install sizes and cutscenes. While IGN is perfectly fine with bowing to Konami, EGM has at least shown that its reviewers can't be pushed around so easily. The magazine has instead compromised with a roundtable discussion of the game as opposed to a full review.

EGM refuses to review Metal Gear Solid 4. Destructoid offers reviews, previews, trailers, cheats, and more.

American gaming magazine, EGM, has refused to review Konami’s upcoming PS3 blockbuster, Metal Gear Solid 4. The reason for this? Konami requested that the games 90 minute cut scene and installation before each level were not mentioned in the review, and as EGM (quite rightly) see these as pretty major points to anybody who isn’t a MGS fanboy, and on that basis refuse to print a review until the game is released and these facts are common knowledge.

90 MINUTE CUTSCENES !!!! :O

EGM Refuses to Review Metal Gear Solid 4 | Team Teabag!

While we're hearing lots of praise from critics about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4, it appears that early critics are being forced to censor certain details from their reviews. It was rumored that details about the length of cutscenes, install time, and a number of other quirks must be omitted from early print reviews. Looks like those rumors were true. EGM has decided against reviewing the hotly anticipated title in its upcoming issue, instead opting to print a five-page roundtable discussion about the game. No scores, due to "the limitations Konami wanted to impose on our comments."

woah.. A lot of dirt slung out on MGS3.. doesn't matter though.. fan's will buy it anyway. I'll just have to wait.. no PS3 :(.. damn I need a fatter paycheck

Pretty stupid of Konami trying to intervene in the review process. While 90 minutes of cut-scene might be fine with the hardcore crowd, the install part before every level won't go down nicely with them.

GamePro has dismissed reports claiming that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots features cut scenes up to 90 minutes in length.

News of the lengthy cinematic sequences cropped up yesterday on website CVG, which also claimed that players would be able to skip and pause any cut scene in the game they wish.

However, GamePro’s Sid Shuman, who has completed the game twice already, insists that there are no such scenes in the game approaching the 90-minute mark, labelling such claims nothing more than a “pretty big exaggeration.”

“I've completed the game twice, and am the author of the forthcoming [GamePro] review," he said.
"Ninety-minute-long cinemas in MGS4 sounds like an exaggeration. Like the other MGS games, MGS4 definitely has a cinematic quality. And yes, some of the cut-scenes in the game are elaborate and occasionally lengthy. But not a one, to my recollection, even approaches 90 minutes."

well there we have it:)

[IMO] The 90 Minute Long Cutscenes, would not of ruined the game.

One thing i do mind is;
The website goes on to state that the reports on the ability to pause or skip cut scenes are in fact genuine, however, as is the mandatory install, which appears to be around the 4.6GB mark.

AND

I dont understand. I was reading one of the reviews on Metacritic, and while it doesn't say the amount, it does say theres a LOT of cut scenes, and HDD Installation at the beginning of every level.

Thats a bummer:(

I'd get pretty frustrated!

Hope that they arent big installation processes, not if its after each level, anyway?? where did levels come from, i hope they mean like each room or place, not actual levels!

but i suppose if its like other MGS games, with loading screens before each location or room, they wont be that big of installation files will they??

anyways i dont really care, i will still buy the game even it the rumors do sound painful, this game is gunna be the biggest game known to man!, [IMO]!!

Thank the lord i have a PS3!

^^ You can take that back now:)

The author of the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 GamePro review has confirmed that the game doesn’t have a 90 Minute Cut-Scene. He told the readers "I’ve beat the game twice, and am the author of the forthcoming GamePro review," he goes on to say "Ninety-minute-long cinemas in MGS4 sounds like an exaggeration. Like the other MGS games, MGS4 definitely has a cinematic quality. And yes, some of the cut-scenes in the game are elaborate and occasionally lengthy. But not a one, to my recollection, even approaches 90 minutes ."

the only problem that i will have with the game is the installation processes,

the game requires that you have a "minimum" of 4.6GB available on your hard drive for the install process.

I dont understand. I was reading one of the reviews on Metacritic, and while it doesn't say the amount, it does say theres a LOT of cut scenes, and HDD Installation at the beginning of every level.
