Micromax Launches LED TVs , Home Theater Systems , Android USB Smart Stick

Indian mobile phone manufacturer Micromax has entered the consumer electronics space launching its LED TVs and home theater systems . Micromax has also launched a Android USB stick for TVs dubbed Smart Stick .


Micromax has launched HD LED TVs ranging from 24 inches to 55 inches which cost from 15,990 to 1,29,990 . The 50 inches and 55 inches models have 3D capabilities as well and come bundled with four pairs of 3D glasses.

  • LED24K316 – 24-inches, HD, Rs 15,990

According to BGR , Micromax is producing the LED TVs at a manufacturing facility in Rudrapur which is capable of producing 2000 TVs in a day and will produce tablets and accessories as well . The LED TVs will initially be available across 170 cities in nine states – Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat.

Micromax has also launched two 5.1 channel home theater systems – HT037F1 with 4000W PMPO and HT089F1 with 5000W PMPO . Both support USB drives and memory cards , while the HT089F1 has digital FM Radio also . They are priced at 5,990 and 6,990 respectively .

The Android Smart Stick is a USB stick running Android 4.0 ICS and connects to TVs through HDMI interface . It has 1GHz processor , 4GB storage . Connectivity features include USB HOST , Wi-Fi Direct , 2.4GHz Wireless keyboard/mouse connectivity . It is priced at 4,990 .

looks they have built a rebadging facility in rudrapur.the moment i see PMPO in home theatre systems its time to look elsewhere.
 
yeah .. they seem to have re-branded the MK802 .. if would have been good buy at less than 4k considering the warranty .. but other manufacturers like karbonn and spice would come out rebranding other usb sticks and launching at lower price , if this is successful ..

btw there is a UG802 as well .. which has dual core and priced at just $70 ..
