Microsoft has announced the launch of its Nokia X2 smartphone in the Indian market. It will most probably be the last Android-powered Nokia X-series phone to reach the country as Microsoft has already revealed that it is shutting down the development of Nokia X devices.
Originally unveiled in June, the Nokia X2 features dual-SIM support, 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.3-based Nokia X Software platform. Microsoft recently released major update for X2 worldwide, which brings some useful news features like a Gmail client and support for Google Contacts sync. You can read more about the update here.

Among other specifications, Nokia X2 packs 5MP rear camera with LED flash, front camera, 1800 mAh battery, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

In terms of the pre-loaded apps, you can expect to find HERE Maps, MixRadio, Skype, Outlook.com and OneDrive. Microsoft is also providing Bing Search, Yammer and Xbox games, including SnapAttack, Wordament and Kinectimals via the Nokia Store. The X2 will be able to find more apps and games from third-party stores like Amazon Appstore.

Pricing and availability:

Nokia X2 has been priced at INR 8,699 in the country and will sold in Glossy Black, Green, Orange, Dark Grey, White and Yellow colour options, when it goes on sale in the next few days.

The phone will be competing with the likes of Asus Zenfone 4 A401CG, Asus A450CG, Redmi 1S, Moto E and other similarly priced smartphones.
