Also I saw a video that the Motherboard that I've chosen (MSI X58 Pro-E) has heating issues and needs a mod. Here is the video for it.

YouTube - Reducing the Northbridge temps on the MSI X58 PRO-E Motherboard

Please help me out. Thank you :)

i5 proccy doesnt work with the X58 mobo... change either proccy to i7 or mobo to p55...

amd 6800 series is just out and the 6870 would suit u just fine... read the reviews... slightly better than 5850 for 5770 price... should be here in a week or 2 i guess...

else get a GTX 460... more than sufficient for anything @ 1920x1080... If u want more power u could xfire/sli either of these :D... also u would need a beefier power supply... try the corsair vx550 for a single card or a 650/750 watt corsair for dual card...

>>>: PSU - Coolermaster RS-460-PCAR-A3

I have exact same PSU and I'll suggest you better get some thing else. Not that its very BAD, its doing OK on my rig,

but its not very good for its price . it goes 2.5+, just produce over 300 watts on both 12v rails, you are better with vx450, add one more K and you'll have a PSU which is 80+ efficient at peak load. Plus can deliver 450+ as well if required.

@Varun - I had checked the CPU support for X58 mobo. and the maximum supported CPU given there was the 1-7, hence I thought the i-5 will be supported as well. Guess I was wrong :(

@Adi - Haven't had any issues with my PSU so far, I guess it was adequate for my old configuration. I'm hoping it'll be sufficient enough for my new configuration as well.

Open to more suggestions to fine-tune my PC. Will be ordering the stuff mostly this week. Hence don't have much time :(

>>Haven't had any issues with my PSU so far, I guess it was adequate for my old configuration

I thought you are going to buy it and thought to inform you. My Bad

@ DarkAngel - Thanks for the price help :)

If there are any better configurations available, please do let me know. Got time till the end of this week or next week at max.

Thank you :)

Hmm the i5 760 is a better proposition when compared to AMD's X6 proccy? For gaming atm, it seems marginally faster, but developers have no way to go but improve multi threading performance for all applications, X6 should do better in that case.

Thanks for your suggestions.. But I'm all the more confused now :P... Could you please just set 1 config for like 60k and put it out & I'll go with it.

Sorry for the trouble :(

go with the rig Dark Angel suggested... it is powerful, power efficient and great for gaming coz it has "Intel Core i5 760" which has better single threaded performance and 8 mb L3 cache ;)

Dont Think Much You Will Get Confused :P

Yea was gonna go for the same thing, but the motherboard that he suggested ain't available anywhere. Also having a hard time finding the GFX card and the RAM. Guess have to go online :(
