massively underpowered, you are better off using the NAS itself to run your programs.

Thanks. My NAS is a QNAP TS212P with a marvel CPU. That underpowered too to run jellyfin. So I am looking for a bare enough system to stream the content without transcoding.

8th gen or newer intel processors with integrated graphics will be more than enough to handle all transcoding for a small home. QuickSync is pretty cool
