Its free and legal to use, so no hassles there. The BartPE setup file is hardly 3MB, and uses the existing files on your WinXP CD to generate a BartPE ISO image which can then be easily burned to a disk. Pretty easy to use
only CD's that work perfectly as crash recovery ones are bootable Linux Cd's as they can probe ur hardwar well & almost all hardware is covered.
I use slaX as im a Slackware FAN, I use it for systems stability probs. data recovery on unbootable systems over to an FTP & other great things like network link testing etc.
But the only downpart is - u need to have some knowledge of Linux. If u can bear with that -- there is no match
& yes i Do use bart cd';s also - mod network ones & other but still - SLAX owns
