sorry to say but i think mods have a partial behavior and favor few members on the forum.

i know its kinda sick to hear that. but true
Care to elaborate..?

For the general information of all members: Any new thread being created since the announcement made by Eddy are being trashed if they are in the wrong sections. The general market section is open for now for all the combo sale threads that are active. Soon enough, the general market section will be closed for posting. Older threads that had been created before the announcement and are still active are being moved gradually to the respective sub-sections.

You are failing to read all the repeated posts both from myself and the other members telling you that you're posting in the wrong section.

If in case you and other people are wondering - "why xyz person's thread is still there, if its in the wrong section?" , please check the thread creation date.

If the thread start date is before Nov. 19th i.e. before the market announcement being posted, then no action is being taken.

If its a thread started post Nov. 19th, then you know what happens.

If you are starting a new thread, please take the effort to categorize it. If in doubt, ask the mods which section it should go under.

Re: Missing fs thread

but atleast you can inform to the person that his thread has been deleted. My thread was deleted in the last 12 hours i guess with more than 10 replies from interested member. Now ill have to create another one. From the past half n hour i was searching for my thread. Then i saw this thread.

My thread has also been deleted :D but i think mods can move the incorrect thread to the correct sub section. Trashing a thread is not good for any one :(

Grrrr...:@

this time i won't appreciate the work of the mods. I started a FS thread in the main section on 9th December (at about 12), next morning can't find the thread, searched a lot. I thought that mods might have deleted it so sent a PM to Saiyan, but no reply.

Its OK, yesterday i started the same thread once again at around 9:30 PM, today morning i found it missing. Again after searching a lot found this thread. Few minutes back i started the same thread now in the sub-forum. Lets see what happens.

All these times i have followed the forum rules, but i didn't know about this new announcement.

Its ok for the mods to delete the threads, but they can at least send a PM/user note regarding the issue. If not they can file an Infractions case, i will at least appreciate that. But what they are doing right not is not acceptable. Waste for time/bandwidth/...

I fear you guys do not know that you can find all of your created threads in a single click (Click on your userid at the top-right corner beside Notifications, then click on "Find all started threads" under your userid written at the top left)

Nope mate, i know that and for your information most of the other members know about that link. And i search for our threads with that method, but when our threads are deleted they do not show up there.

You can try mine. My last two thread according to that are:
[FS] XFX nForce 630i motherboard selling cheap
Application to compress work on mkv files

wheres i have started two FS thread between the above two, which were trashed by the mods :(

Bro, I dont think you'll need to search for your thread this way, as If it would not have been deleted it would show at the first page itself (provided you didnt open 20 threads after that, pushing to the next page) and if its not there then its deleted.

Although the staff could PM the person whose post/thread has been deleted (like in some other forums), but it isnt a big deal even if they dont.

^^^ no mate, thats not the thing. After deleting a thread the thread starter should be sent a PM regarding the thread and why it has been deleted etc.

The mods have gone one step further. Through their psychic powers of seeing the future, they have put up this announcement right on top of the market section that tells you why your thread is deleted! :D

Scenario 1:

1. Click announcement. Read.

2. Create thread

Scenario 2:

1. Ignore announcement

2. Create thread

3. Mod deletes thread

4. Mod PM's user

5. User opens inbox

6. User reads PM

7. Life on other planet discovered

8. User now reads new announcement

9. User now creates thread in correct sub section.

I dunno, looking at the above I kinda like Scenario 1, dont ya think so too? ;)

If the mods keep moving threads then the users will not bother creating threads in the right section themselves. Of course things would be simpler once the main section is closed for posting and only displays the threads from the subsections.

Thank god atleast this is something the staff has in their "To-Do" list, this is a very good solution although we will require a few more sub-forums.

Why not remove the option to create a thread in main page of market?

I think we need more sub-forums, but i never got a pm from any mod when my thread was deleted :(... i followed scenario 2 :P...

I think i tried scenario 2 :P
But steps 4-6 are skipped

As for new sub-forum

i will post as something comes to my mind

EDIT: @thenvk, you idea is notable.

Why don't you (mods) remove the "New thread" button from the main market section. That will solve this case - Scenario case;)

Not possible to make it like a "tab" rather than sub-forum?

Yup as Sorcy says tab concepts in [ E] market is very good. But i guess there is very little chance that TE market will be shaped based on that. I had posted this long time back in the market feedback.
