Android MiUi is not bad at all!!

@kuduku , which device do you have other than the note 9?
On Redmi Note 5 (Redmi 5 Plus), if we remove themes or security or some other core components, the device softbricks.
I think on older phones, the software is locked down hard. On new phones we can uninstall or disable these stuff easily.
 
I prefer the Szaki Tool over running commands on ADB as it keeps a list of all the apps one uninstalls or disables and one can reinstall on enable them if one runs into problems.
The way I did it was I checked the lists available online for what's safe or not and for the apps I didn't find in the lists, I just searched online with the app name as to what it does and can I remove it or not.

It's just using ADB to remove unwanted apps, so I don't see why it won't be same for a Poco phone. In fact I am going to use a similar tool for my G8X as well.

but thats Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools only which i think has been referred above .
Havent used it as due to so many devices, and frequent formatting its easier for me to copy paste in ADB

Proceudre is same , check XDA for debloat list for specific device model or if adventurous try it out yourself
If its not installed and u run uninstall cmd , doesnt matter as no harm done And a factory reset absolves you of all harm done

Its still same so havent touched Security app . Did go in bootloop when uninstalled Find my Phone app which was there also when i had Mi Max2 .

I use the same set of commands for my Samsung M31 except replace uninstall with disable so that I can enable it again if it breaks anything
 
Are the custom ROMs more battery efficient?
I'm not facing any battery drain issue yet, but some people are experiencing abnormal battery drain in MiUi 12.
I understand it's kernel dependent, the stock kernel and the governers are possibly doing fine. But since I don't play games at all, is it possible to undervolt/ underclock the CPU to squeeze out some more time without rooting?

Dont go for custom ROM way only for battery
Fine tune existing ROM only

I have debloated MIUI whatever was technically possible . Still on my PiHole , PiHole has blocked 43% queries . That is insanely unbelievable and impossible ........
As i had posted earlier I had only Camera , downloads , Security and Settings left in Apps in MIUI

I'm not using MIUI currently so i can't check and for the life of me i can't remember the names of the processes. But there are some system apps (which are not executable by the user) which were reported to be spyware. I'll update the names when i can.
 
As i said, these are not the kinds of apps you can just remove. They are required system files. Yes the ones that can cause bootloops. A lot of them have embedded spyware. Data mining actually.

My redmi4 screen is broken so i can't really operate it. The names of the apps are like on the tip of my tongue but i just cant remember. :banghead:
