I have a P5LD2. For intel pentium D. The overclocking absolutely rocks!
I can push my processor up to 4 Ghz, though cant coz of cooling.
And my RAM can be pushed to run at 833 Mhz! Thats like PC2-6400 :P.
Yup... asus is the best as far as P4 boards are concerned.... no doubt about that ;).

I mean the absolute best... NF1 was never really meant for overclocking. the best NF2 board was the lanparty NF2 ultra(or the vanilla version - infinity 2 ultra), the best nf3 board is what i have, the best nf4 board... well everyone knows. No one uses asus boards for extreme overclocking. For mild stuff, its pretty decent. Why I dont recommend ASUS? Try running two fast 1GB dimms(ballistix, ocz gold, mushkin pc4000) in dual channel on that A8N-E and u'll realise how sad it is! If it cant do 2GB properly, its not worth it cos 1GB is already low.

anyways who told u it can't run two fast 1GB dimms ..... coz in AMD64 bit systems, ram has nothing to do with motherboard it all depends upon the CPU coz the controller is on the CPU ..... and for OCing on NF2 ABIT NF7 was one of the best AFAIK ..... and i don't think A7N8X series was bad at all ....

Hehe just try it and see... if you can push it to DDR 500-550, I'll pay u back the price of the ram ;). It just cant... If it all depended on the CPU, then why did the A8N-SLI deluxe have the 2T issue? NF7-S was the second best board... not the best.

ok chaos leave that its a endless discussion ...... for me ASUS is best anyways i wanna try a DFi but not untilll it is launched in india ..... :)

naaah.... Sunny is looking at a 6200... I dont think he will spend that much more for a 7800GT :bleh:

But if you do buy it Sunny, then, expect a visit to Mysore from me....

lol...:P

i wont OC, i wont game. Even if i get a new 3000 and a chaintech board, i'll have tyo shell the same money i'll have to pay for the DFI+3000, so will setttle for that.....so even a 7800GT is a waste for me :P a nice, not bad kinda gfx card will do.....

ohyeah, thanks for all ur suggestions :) will dump the HDD plan

the best NF2 board was the lanparty NF2 ultra

For NF2 Abit Nf7 was the best, so was A7n8x dlx which was pretty good. Its only with the Lanparty series that DFI got known as an enthusiasts board, and currently for A64 its the best company. But then again stability wise Asus has an advantage...
