my friend is going to buy a rig with a C2D e 5200 proccy..
he wants to have a motherboard with onboard gfx and preferably 2 pcie-x16 slots..
he is planning to get a 4830 or wait for the 4770.. so having IGP will help..
i suggested him a gigabyte ep31-ds3l...
but i want to know if their ultra durable tech is available in the lower end g31 chips..
he may crossfire later once prices come down.. so should i ask him to get a higher end mobo, coz one of my other friends told me to stick to a high end mobo if you are going to CF.. he said that lower chipset mobos may conk out with such heavy loads of CF..
plz suggst...

e5200 wont give enough juice for 4830 crossfire....instead of 4830 crossfire getting a single 4890 or 4870 will come out cheaper for considering mobo, psu expense......keep aside crossfire scaling

if he wants to go cheaper then get g31+e7300or e7400

wait for 4770 to come and then go for it..

+1

multi-gpu setup will cost u more overall...
settle for single powerful gpu instead.

bt more importantly... what resolution will be used for gaming??

+1... Get a single chip.... SLI is not worth the extra bucks....
