Money transfer from Qatar to India

Hi,

My bro recently got a job in Qatar and he will be staying there for some years. Now he wants to transfer money from Qatar to Indian bank.

He checked with Western Union and UAE exchange, they are charging 15+ QAR and 21+ QAR. So he is looking for some cheap money transfer options.

Please let me know the mechanism which he can use to transfer money.

-It should be fast

-Less transfer fee.

They transfer money to only selected countries and India is not in the list.

actually you limited the option WU or UAE exchange actually at the moment. Or ask him to try the bank with which he has an account whether he can transfer to an account in India, though most of the time it is not possible. The other option wuld be to ask him to send you a DD which you can encash it in India.

The best is Paypal. I would suggest that only to you safe and sound. No issues at all. The money will come in yr bank account in 5-7 days only in India.

Its juz u have to make an account in paypal. After yr account is made, provide him with yr paypal email id. Thats all and he will make the payment and then u login into yr paypal account and accept the money. Once u have accepted the money from him the money will then come in yr bank account within 7 days.

How can we use swift payment and what are charges

Rates depend on the sending bank. Your brother will have to go to his bank & do the SWIFT. Don't know if its possible through Net Banking.
