3d technology is quite innovative actually.. two images are projected, one onto each eye varying at a few degrees to each other.. this fools the brain into thinking that there is actually depth in the image as it tries to overlap the images....

simple yet bloody awesome at the same time

You need a good GPU for 3d movies to look really good as the LCD will be refreshing at 120hz(60x2)..
