If you are buying a gamepad for fighting games on PC I would suggest get a USB Sega Saturn type controller and get a copy of SF 4 or the likes.

@quan chi - Didn't you also have problems connecting a while back. How did you get around the problem?

A while back, we had problems with all ISPs because of some underwater cables being cut. It seems fine now. I'll add prabs01 and sameer.sharma as soon as I get home. Hopefully, I'll have some good games with good latency, which I've missed for a long time. This game deserves more recognition and a better scene in India

I think you mean quixand. My connection problem is similar to others its not consistent. But the server i had mentioned previously is better atleast there i face less connection problems.

After a few attempts got connected. Do get disconnected during a match or character select.
'sameer.sharma' - unable to send a request to this id.

Hello sirs the discussion is interesting but why are you guys quoting the post just above you? More scrolling, more quotes than actual answers. :)

Downloading? Is your PS3 jailbroken? Because that might be the issue, right there. PSN generally doesn't not play online at all because of jailbreak firmware issues.
 
No it's not jail broken, it's a known issue. One of the patches screwed up the game.

I press online, the screen where it's attempting to connect to the lobby with Shao Khan in the background comes up but before connecting to the lobby it disconnects with an error message.

Nothing wrong with my ps3 or PSN all the rest of my games work fine online.

I was having the same problem. I tried by starting the game without logging into psn. Allowed the game to check for updates. Then from the main menu tried online. It prompted me to login to psn which I did. Then it found the server & tried to connect to the lobby, failed & went back to the startup screen. On entering the main menu when I click on online it connects.
I have no explanation for why this happens but I guess it worked for me & hope it continues to work.

Tried all those steps after redone loading the game. Didn't work. I'm on 1.05 BTW. Will download it again and stop auto patch and try. If everything works out then weekend sessions though I suck at MK.
 
Had a match with @dingodile_r89. This guy is really good. I have to brush up my skills. :D If we find some other members too then we can have a TE tournament.

I'm definitely out. :\

Downloaded thrice. Did everything possible, changed routers what not. Nope. Not happening. Make sure you guys record and stream it here. :)
