PC Peripherals Most Frustrating Moment During Building a PC

Are the tool less cabbies the same as screw less ones? Been hearing a lot about these lately. IMO, the big problem after installation is having remove the screws on the side panel and open up your cabby. Would prefer a simple spring loaded locking system of some sort instead of the screws.

My frustrating moments ---

Fitting the heatink. IT is quite big and a pain. An even bigger pain is to remove it. I have never experimented with an Intel...so, no idea.

But a friend has a socket 478 Intel and MY GOD !!! It is horrible. And that too, his heatsink is kinda bent. It was a nightmare.

Apart from that, the cables....they are so painful, I never bother myself regarding those damned cables.

Well the most frustrating part for me is the "wire management"...

Yes, I totally agree with that too :cool2:
Some motherboard positions of 4 pin power socket for the CPU just middle of the board..... sucks

I have put up this link before and all the "OLD" timers of this forum have seen this - but I dont think you have seen it ... check out how to handle cables for connections in the middle of a Mother Board... not for the weak hearted.... :)

The worst part to me is cable management..i had to tie many of those dangling wires from the psu together to maintain proper air flow in the cabinet..apart from tht, the front panel connection was a bit tricky and i had to refer to the mobo manual to double check whether i did it fine..

The c2d proc n hsf installation was a breeze n evrything else was fine..but i hate to admit this but the iball cabinet's metal backplate sucks big time..whenevr i installed the ram sticks and the pci cards, the backplate wud flex so much tht the cards wud literally come out of their slots..i had to push from the back each time i inserted a card into the slots..:O
