Graphic Cards Most powerful card in history?

The Quadro series is designed specifically for Workstations.(CAD and other stuff like that.)

so even if was the most powerful card ever,..it would be no use to us gamers :(
 
Hell we can make it a tad useful.

Can some one explain in brief what differences are there in the workstation and gamer cards achitecturally.
 
The h/w is basically the same. GeForce drivers are optimised for directX, while quadro drivers are optimised for OpenGL. A large percentage of the extra you pay for a quadro is because it is tested and guaranted to work with all major cad and dcc softwares. Nvidia and Ati have to pay these s/w company for this.

There are also a few extra features like Line Antialiasing and Two sided lighting that are disabled on the Geforce cards.
 
LOL.. There is no such thing as the most powerful card in history. In a short while "the most powerful card" will become "history" :rofl:
