K kippu Inactive Galvanizer Oct 3, 2010 #1 So i put in 4 more gigs on ram , taking it to 7 gb ram , which resulted in some post error ,, so i removed the old 1 gb and it then booted into windows and shows me installed ram : 6 gb , usable ram : 4.94 gb , what is this due to? TIA

asingh Staff member Keymaster Oct 3, 2010 #4 Most probable the OS is confused with the paging file. Is your page file set to 6GB..?
