Oculink eGPU exists. TB5 eGPU boards do not. (techically they do but most seem to be in pre-launch certification phase). For the next 2-3 years TB5 controllers will guarantee 64 Gbps for eGPU use cases (128 Gbps for non eGPU use cases like running several 4k monitors), thus matching Oculink, albeit at a very expensive price. After that newer TB5 controllers will hopefully breach >80 Gbps PCIe speeds, and some time after that they should be affordable. So, TB5 is not beating Oculink in price and performance for the next 5 years
